What is
Paint Correction?

Paint correction is the process of removing surface imperfections from a vehicle’s paintwork — swirl marks, fine scratches, water spots, oxidation and buffer trails, by carefully abrading the clear coat to level the surface and restore clarity.

Unlike a polish or a wax, which temporarily fills imperfections, paint correction physically removes them. The result is a finish with genuine depth and reflectivity, not a temporary mask that washes away.

Paint Correction faqs

Will paint correction remove all scratches?
Paint correction removes scratches that sit within the clear coat layer. Deep scratches that have penetrated through to the base coat or primer cannot be removed by polishing alone, these would need a respray. We’ll assess your paintwork and give you an honest appraisal before we begin.
 
A single stage correction typically takes half a day. Two stage and multi-step corrections can take a full day or longer depending on the vehicle size and condition. We’ll confirm the timescale when we book you in.
 
This depends on the condition of your paintwork. A single stage suits vehicles with light swirling and minor imperfections. Two stage is ideal for more visible swirl marks and surface scratches. Multi-step is for heavily marked, older or show vehicles where the ultimate finish is the goal. We’re happy to advise, just get in touch.
